Application TTMM-S for Fitbit Versa from Albert Salamon has won the Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design 2020.

The designer succeeded in winning over the Red Dot Jury with the high design quality of its work. This means the designer Albert Salamon is one of the winners in the world’s most respected design competition.

TTMM-S for Fitbit Versa app is a collection of clock faces, equipped with the weather feature, in a monthly subscription plan. This collection is dedicated to the Fitbit Versa smartwatches. The app presents the clock faces in four categories and has a clear view of a single clock face design together with info on how to operate a given clock face. TTMM-S clock faces are equipped with two extra weather condition views and with three types of alerts: dangerous weather conditions, very high UV radiation, or unhealthy Air Quality. Minimalism, simplicity, purism – the lack of unnecessary graphic elements increases the legibility of the presented information and at the same time is a mark of the TTMM brand.

Red Dot CEO Professor Dr. Peter Zec on the laureates
“I want to congratulate the winners of the Red Dot Award sincerely on their success. By winning this distinction, they have proved that their work stands for high design quality. They have come out on top in a strong field of international participants thanks to their convincing performance and deserve to be proud of themselves and of their accomplishment”, says Professor Dr. Peter Zec, founder and CEO of Red Dot.

Evaluation by an international jury
The Red Dot Award provides a platform to designers, agencies and companies from all over the globe for the evaluation of design. In 2020, a total of 6,992 creative projects and brands from 50 countries were entered in the competition. In line with the motto “In search of good design and creativity”, the 24 international jurors assessed this year’s entries online and examined each piece of work and each brand individually and extensively in a professional manner. They paid special attention to the form, the idea and the impact. Ultimately, only those projects that convinced the experts in terms of their high design quality and creative achievement received a distinction.

Presentation of the winning works
The winning works will be made accessible to a wide audience. All of the award-winning brands and projects will be available to see online on the Red Dot website from October 2020. The International Yearbook Brands & Communication Design 2020/2021 will be out in November 2020.
