TTMM-R

Watchfaces reborn for the new Pebble.
REBORN
R is what each face makes of it: reborn, redesigned, rethought, renewed, and whatever the next one brings. The faces of the Pebble years come back drawn for the 200 × 228, 64-colour screen of Pebble Time 2, the way TIC-TTMM is the collection for the earlier Pebbles. R also sounds like are, and TTMMBRN-R turns that into its question: R you…?
RETHOUGHT
Redesigned and rethought: the alerts of the awarded TTMM-S for Fitbit (dangerous weather, high UV, unhealthy air) come back to Pebble and grow. Live weather, air quality, UV, pollens and sun times, refreshed twice an hour; every line can be an alarm, a value out of range turns solid and pulses while the time stays untouched; the rites of the hour, from the new hour to the full moon. And something no TTMM could do before: sound. Pebble Time 2 can speak, and the R faces give it three voices, one for the hour, one for the connection, one for the alarms. Five styles, a high-contrast night, six languages.
RECOGNISED
Before its first face was released, TTMM-R for Pebble Time 2 received the Bronze A’ Design Award 2025–2026 in Interface, Interaction and UX Design: the collection was judged on its design. The earlier collections carry Gold and Silver; see TIC-TTMM for Pebble.
RELEASED
First out: TTMMBRN-R, the TTMMBRN of 2016, one of the most worn TTMM faces of the Pebble years, with its typeface drawn anew. Seven days free, then a one-year licence, $12 plus local taxes, renewed by you: it keeps the weather service alive. Beside it TTMMBRN-B, the same type and five lines without the weather, the alarms or a charge: free to be. Both come through the TTMM Stream: apps.ttmm.is.

What the R means
What does the R stand for?
What each face makes of it. Reborn: the TTMM faces of the Pebble years, born again for Pebble Time 2. Redesigned and rethought: a typeface drawn anew, the alerts of TTMM-S for Fitbit back on Pebble, and sound for the first time. Renewed: a one-year licence that you renew yourself, nothing charged by itself. And R sounds like are, which TTMMBRN-R turns into its question: R you…? The next faces will add their own.
Which watches?
Pebble Time 2. The faces are drawn for the 200 × 228, 64-colour screen. For Pebble 2 Duo and the earlier Pebbles there is TIC-TTMM for Pebble.
Which Pebble app?
The Pebble app on iPhone or Android, updated. Every setting of a face lives in that app, under the face; the watch itself has no menus to learn.
Is there a free version of TTMMBRN-R?
Yes: TTMMBRN-B, the free face of the collection: the same departure-board type and five lines as TTMMBRN-R, without the weather, the alarms on every line, the sound and the charge. Free for good: no trial, no licence, no account, in the TTMM Stream at apps.ttmm.is. The weather, the alarms and the sound live in TTMMBRN-R.
Getting the faces
Where do the faces come from?
From the TTMM Stream, TTMM’s own source in the Pebble app. Open apps.ttmm.is on your phone, choose Open in Pebble, confirm, and the stream is added to the Pebble app on that phone. Every TTMM face and app then shows in the Pebble app, and so do their updates. On a new phone, or after reinstalling the Pebble app, add the stream again the same way.
Where do they show up?
In the Pebble app: bottom tab Apps, switch Faces, section TTMM Stream, TTMM-R for Pebble Time 2. Tap a face, tap Install, and it is on the watch. If the section is empty, close the Pebble app completely and open it again.
Can I install the file myself?
The faces come only through the Pebble app. The licence and the weather are tied to your Pebble account, not to a file: a copied file gets no further than a week of weather.
Licence and renewal
Why a yearly licence?
Because I want to know whether this face still matters to you a year on, and your answer is the only measure I have. Nothing renews by itself and no card is kept: after the year the face asks once more, and you decide. I could have charged once and carried the weather server myself; I chose the year because a face worn for years is a relationship, not a download.
The year keeps the weather service alive: weather, air quality, UV, pollens and sun times, refreshed twice an hour.
A watch face with live weather is software with a running cost. Elsewhere that cost is folded into a watch twice the price that lasts a day on a charge; here it is twelve dollars a year, on a watch that lasts weeks.
What happens when the year ends?
The face shows its purchase screen with a new code and keeps it there until you decide: renew, or choose another face. Nothing is charged by itself, no card is kept. Renewing is the same purchase as the first one: the code at kzl.io/code, card or PayPal.
Do I pay per face?
Yes. Each face of the collection has its own trial and its own one-year licence, listed in Section 17 of the EULA. TTMMBRN-B is free.
One agreement for all of them?
One: EULA TTMM-R, the licence terms and the privacy terms of the whole collection. The faces are added to its last section as they are released.
What do the PAYMENT screens on the watch mean?
The standard
What do all R faces share?
The TTMM weather service: weather, air quality, UV, pollens and sun times, refreshed twice an hour and on a wrist shake. Alarms on every line, with full-screen messages that say what to do. The rites of the hour: the new hour, the sunrise, the golden hour, the full moon, drink and move. Five styles, a high-contrast night, six languages (English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Polish), and the date format that sets the region. What one face has learned, the next one is born with.
Do the faces need my phone?
The time, the date and everything the watch measures itself (steps, heart rate, sleep): no. The weather and the air quality: yes, the phone and the internet. The last reading stays on the face, and OFFLINE tells you when it cannot refresh.
What about my data?
Your phone sends your position rounded to about a kilometre and the Pebble account and watch identifiers that confirm your licence, nothing else about you. The server keeps the weather answer for fifteen minutes, the licence status under a one-way hash for at most eight days, and a log without identifiers for at most sixty days; like any web server, the hosting server also records each request in its access log, with the IP address and the address requested, identifiers included. Health data never leaves the watch. No TTMM account, no analytics, no advertising. The details are in Sections 5 to 7 of the EULA.
